In 1948, the library started when Mr. Jose F. Luna came as principal, However, most of the library holdings were books and very few are the general references such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. As the years went by, Mrs. Thelam Y. Estremos arrived in 1975 and was designated as Faculty, School librarian until she was replaced by a professional librarian in the person of Mrs. Ludivina de la Cruz, since then accessioning and classification of library collections started.
The library works out, the collection gradually increased, donations of books were received coming from the province of Agusan del Sur. Further, Congressman Ceferino S. Paredes Jr. sponsored Batas Pambanasa House Bill No. 1432 and supported by the Senate (Bill No. 1690) of Senator Edgardo J. Angara, for the conversion of SANAC into a State College, the library fund was one of the resources utilized by the procurement of library resources. In 2008, the main library constructed as a donation from Bunawan Local Government Unit through the effort of Hon. Mayor Gilbert G. Elorde likewise, several books and non-print collection such as VHS, CDs and other transparencies which amounted to 4.5 million were given to the library. Indeed, with the greater allocation of capital outlay it upgrades the quality of library operation and management. In addition, on November 18, 2015, the construction of a two-story library building was completed to cater more library users, and the number of professional librarians to manage the total operation of the library services.
The delivery of library services is now run by computers, acquired state-of-art software databases to provide access to the ASSCAT community or even in far flung areas. Moreover, the library becomes more responsive to the requirement of online teaching and flexible learning modalities.
